About SimKer and me

SimKer combines Support, Inspiration, Motivation, Kickstart, Energy, and Results to provide an outstanding personal training service at home, the gym, outdoors or place of work.


K is me, Kerstin, and I believe that fitness of the body and mind as well as training your body is a crucial factor for the individual’s wellbeing including the achievement of positive results and can also play an important role for success in the work place.

When you feel fit and healthy, you feel able to achieve more in all areas of your life. That is why my mission is “to inspire everyone everywhere to lead a better way of life”.

SimKer does not only stand for my Support, Inspiration, Motivation, Kickstart, Energy, and Results , but also for the training teaching style I lead: Stretching, Intensity, Mobility, Kinesiology, Ergonomics and Recovery.

I am qualified for Advanced Level 3 Gym and Fitness Instructing and ACE Personal Training. Having practiced Individual and Teams Sports most of my life with great pleasure, I would like to share this enthusiasm with you and give you the opportunity to lead a better and happier lifestyle. It all started with teaching a Skipping class developing into Spin, Tabata, CrossFit, Kettlebells, Indian Club Swinging, Urban Rebound, Functional Movement Training, ViPR Pro and so much more, and also I like to keep my training skills and knowledge up to date by attending workshops and training days to make your workout more fun.

My style of training is very different from what you would find in a local gym. Each training session will be new, challenging and tailored to meet your needs. No doubt you will have to skip at some point! Every single workout is prepared to get you to reach your goals in the shortest period of time. For me, it is more important of how you are training, not where. If, for example, your home or the great outdoors is the most comfortable place for you to work out and the most convenient to have a regular workout, you will be more likely to follow through with your program on your own and achieve better long term results. I will use a wide variety of equipment, such as weighted objects in many shapes and sizes as well as your own body weight to achieve specific results.

My clients are all different: from the very fit, who want to train for a specific goal/race, the fit, who want to improve their general fitness, to those who need a little help and encouragement to start exercising again and lose weight. Although my focus has turned more towards helping women, I will be more than happy to help to challenge YOU to meet your best potential!   


How do YOU know Personal Training is for YOU?
Me as your personal trainer will help you get more out of exercise in a lot of ways.
YOUR FIRST SESSION: This is spent by getting to know you and what you are looking to achieve. We will set goals and most importantly I will assess how well you move by performing and Functional Movement Screen. This is a standardized screen to observe functional movement patterns and analyze mobility and stability deficits. This session is free of charge if you sign up for Personal Training.
YOUR SAFETY: Before you lift, I will make sure you move well. I will advise you on exercise techniques, minimizing the risk of pulled muscles or those horrible aches and pains the next day. Furthermore, this technical advice means you can get more out of each exercise: 10 proper push-ups are much more useful for toning and fitness than 50 bad ones!
YOUR MOTIVATION: I will make exercising enjoyable. The greatest motivation of all for exercising is that it is good fun! I will do everything I can to make each session most enjoyable, using a range of different exercises and equipment, to ensure you get that warm glow of satisfaction that comes with a good workout. I will motivate you to work harder during each session. Estimates suggest that the average 55-minute personal training session burns 50% more calories than the same time you spend in the gym. That’s because I'm right next to you throughout the entire workout, making sure you are not easing off! I will help you exercise safely and more efficiently.
YOUR SUCCESS: Your progress will be monitored, and rest assured, we will celebrate each milestone that you achieve. I will make sure you do the exercise you have signed up for! There’s no escaping me: I will contact you before your session to remind you I am coming, and I will stay in touch between sessions to give you a nudge in the right direction!
YOUR PROGRAM: There is no such thing as a typical program. Each program is tailored to YOU specifically to meet with your goals, abilities, fitness level and lifestyle adopting a cross training approach which integrates aerobic exercise, resistance training and stretching with “healthy eating” support.
