Kerstin, Kiki or simply K - your Coach is for your SmileIntegrityMoxieKarmaEsprit and Resilience!

I am a certified Advanced Level 3 Gym and Fitness Instructor, ACE Personal Trainer, HMI Functional Movement Coach and so much more! Having practiced individual and team sports most of my life with great pleasure, I would like to share this enthusiasm with you and give you the opportunity to lead a better and happier lifestyle. It all started with Aeroskip - jump rope fitness class - developing into Spin, Tabata, CrossFit, Kettlebell, Indian Club Swinging, Urban Rebound, Functional Movement Training, ViPR Pro and so much more. I am eager to keep my training skills and knowledge up to date and regularly attend workshops and training days to make your workout more fun. Neuromuscular stretching, meditation and breathwork as well as stress management and sleep science coaching are part of my training for you!

My style of training is different from what you may find in you local gym. Each session will be new, challenging and tailored to meet YOUR needs. No doubt you will have to skip (jump rope) at some point! Every single workout is prepared to get you to reach your goals in the shortest and safest period of time. For me, it is more important of how you are training, not where. You will be more likely to follow through with your program on your own and achieve better long term results when you have a convenient or preferred place for you to work out. I will use a wide variety of equipment, from weighted objects to your own bodyweight. Most of all I focus on your wellbeing making sure to establish good fundamentals and building on your foundations. A strong base is the starting point of your training and the principle to achieving your goals!

My clients are all different: from young to old, from the fit wanting to train for a specific goal or race to maintaining general fitness, and to those who need a little help and encouragement to start exercising again and maybe losing weight as well as those who have had previous injuries and struggle to get back to their old routine. My focus has turned more towards corrective movement, which of course is the first step to playing a sport or starting a strength program. Without moving correctly in the first place, your body is prone to developing imbalances that may turn into injuries. So get in touch with me and tell me what you want to achieve and I will be more than happy to help motivating YOU to meet YOUR best potential!

How do YOU know Personal Training is for YOU?

Me as your personal trainer I will help you get more out of exercise in a lot of ways.

YOUR FIRST SESSION: This is spent by getting to know you and what you are looking to achieve. We will set goals and most importantly I will assess how well you move by performing a Functional Movement Screen. This is a standardized screen to observe functional movement patterns and analyze mobility and stability deficits. This session is free of charge if you sign up for Personal Training.

YOUR SAFETY: Before you lift, I will make sure you move well. I will advise you on exercise techniques minimizing the risk of pulled muscles and method to reduce the aches and pains from a hard workout. Furthermore, this technical advise means you can get more out of each exercise. 10 proper push-ups are much more useful for toning and fitness than 50 bad ones. And going back to basics is sometimes necessary to retrain your muscle memory.

YOUR MOTIVATION: I will make exercising enjoyable simply by trying to make it fun and helping you to achieve goals and see results. The greatest motivation of all is to enjoy what you do. I will do everything I can to make each training session as much fun as possible, using different exercises and equipment to ensure you get that warm glow o satisfaction that comes with a good workout. I will motivate you o work harder during each session. Estimates suggest that the average 55-minute personal training session burns 50% more calories than the same time you spend in the gym. That is because I am right there next to you throughout the entire workout making sure you are performing to your best abilities. I will help you exercise safely and more efficiently.

YOUR SUCCESS: Your progress will be monitored, and rest assured, we will celebrate each milestone that you achieve. I will make sure you do the exercise you have signed up for! There is no escaping me: I will contact you before your session to remind you of your upcoming training, and I will stay in touch with you in between sessions to give you a nudge in the right direction!

YOUR PROGRAM: There is no such thing as a typical program. Each program is tailored to YOU specifically to meet with your goals, abilities, fitness level and lifestyle. As your body is adopting, so will your program. And as your trainer I am adopting with you throughout your journey in becoming stronger, faster, fitter and healthier.

PERSONAL TRAINING RATES:
starting from $75 per 45-minutes session, different packages available on request. Please reach out for more details.

How do YOU know you should take a FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN or FMS?

FMS is used to identify movement limitations and asymmetries that may increase the risk of injury. It can help you improve your training, your rehabilitation and your performance.

YOUR FIRST SESSION: The FMS test. This is an in-person meeting where you will be screen through 7 functional movement patterns. It is not like a personal training session, but you will be observed and tested for any deficits in your mobility, flexibility, strength and stability. This session takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

YOUR SAFETY: All movements are performed with your own bodyweight. There is no heavy lifting or running or jumping. All these movements are functional. In addition they will indicate without harm if you have any pain in certain positions or motions.

YOUR MOTIVATION: Going through this FMS we will be able to see where you have weaknesses or limitations. Seeing your limitations and weaknesses as well as your strengths will give you motivation to start wanting to move better.

YOUR SUCCESS: The FMS is an effective diagnostic tool that may even identify previous injuries. And the proposed exercises or movements deriving from your results will help to improve how well you move.

YOUR PROGRAM: There is no program. But there is a list of exercises and movements that will be recommended for you to perform on a regular basis. We will discuss these exercises in a follow up session.

FMS RATES:
$80 FMS: this includes the in-person screen and a 30-minutes follow up to discuss the results.
$30 re-screen: this is recommended 6-9 months after your first screen to monitor progress.
If you sign up for personal training the FMS will be free of charge.

You can follow me on YouTube for virtual classes that you can do from anywhere.

Congratulations to choosing to move better and taking action! One inch of movement will bring you closer to your goals than a mile of intentions!!

In health,

Kerstin, Kiki or simply K
