I can't say enough about how amazing my experience has been with Kerstin and the training program she implemented for me. I was in no way shay or form (literally) a triathlete. I had this crazy idea that as a middle-aged man who hasn't worked out in years, I would complete an Ironman (Full). After about 1 year of biking and running casually a couple of times a week I decided to commit to Ironman Florida and then was lucky enough to start training with Kerstin with only 4 months to go (so to say she didn't have much to work with in a short amount of time).

What I experienced in Kerstin's training was the best, most transformative fitness experience of my life. The program she wrote and continually adjusted was tailored in such a way that was flexible and very manageable. I found her approach to have a great deal of care and compassion, with the right amount of constructive feedback when needed. My results tell it all as I finished a full Ironman two hours faster than was expected while dancing across the finish line with energy to spare and only light cramping the next day.

From a technical perspective:
~ The variety of steady, endurance, and threshold trainings combined with a mixture of push hard vs. recovery-oriented weeks made each day feel unique and engaging.
~ I was able to give Kerstin access to my watch app so she could load the workouts onto the calendar for 1-2 weeks at a time. I highly recommend doing the same as it made the heart rate zone training easy to keep track of.
~ The strength & conditioning and mobility training programs she puts together were in line with my needs and abilities. There are also on demand videos. Overall, the s & c workouts were some of the most beneficial sessions to reduce the risk of injury (I stayed healthy throughout the entire training program!)
~ On race day the absolute biggest risk in my eyes is dehydration and malnourishment. Listen to all the great guidance and advice Kerstin gives!

I can't say enough good things about the program and the transformation I experienced. If you want to complete a triathlon and want to ensure success, go with SimKer!!!!

As a middle aged, sedentary guy who cannot quit playing basketball Kerstin's knowledge and approaches to being able to move pain free and being able to play basketball have become a necessity. She has undoubtedly saved me from many expensive rehab and physical therapy facilities and possibly surgeries with her guidance and programs. Kerstin provides exercises, stretching and mobility training that both serve to prevent injuries and recover quickly from the normal wear and tear and joint pain caused by being an active individual.
